Global conceptual artist Leandro Erlich wants his audience to do a double take - make that a triple take. An acclaimed master of illusory, large-scale installations, Erlich is currently presenting his largest solo exhibition to date, Seeing and Believing, featuring 40-plus works at the Mori Art Museum in Tokyo through April 1, 2018. Leandro Erlich Born in Argentina in 1973. He lives and works in Buenos Aires and Montevideo. Over the past two decades, his work has been shown internationally and featured in the permanent collections of major museums and private collectors. Argentinian artist Leandro Erlich created an illusory swimming pool that seems to be filled with water. Installed as a permanent exhibit at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art in Kanazawa, Japan, the water in the pool is actually only 10cm shallow, supported by a thick layer of transparent glass.
